Business operations: Slovnaft Polska S.A. is a dynamically growing fuel company dealing, primarily, with sales of liquid fuels. In no less than four years the company has become a major fuel importer in Poland. Fuels are imported to Poland from Slovnaft Bratislava Refinery – one of the most modern plants in Europe. Fuels produced by this refinery are of the top quality. Slovnaft Polska is recognised as reliable supplier of European quality fuels. It aims to be recognised as a developer of retail network; Slovnaft currently operates 21 fuel stations both proprietary and franchised.
Investments in Poland to date: The main business of our company is a wholesale trading in liquid fuels involving imports, storage and wholesale. We have rented a storage facility (Fuel Depot) in Radzionków, Wola Rzędzińska and Kawice where we are storing and selling unleaded petrol and Diesel oil. Project EFPA (Environmental Fuel Project Apollo) helped us to provide our clients with high quality motor fuels of quality parameters higher than required under updated EU standards EN 228 and EN 590. Slovnaft, in its current operations and wanting to be recognised in the Polish retail market, has built 12 proprietary fuel stations and started cooperation with 9 stations owned by private individuals under the franchising scheme. Slovnaft’s stations are located, primarily, in southern, south-eastern and central Poland. The Slovnaft Polska stations comply with high EU technological and environmental standards.
Development and investment plans for Poland: At present, Slovnaft holds as much as 6% market share. Majority of its sales goes to fuel corporations but the company continuously attracts new wholesale clients and fuel station owners as well as transport companies. The project of providing direct fuel supplies to fuel station owners has been effectively pursued by Slovnaft, since this is expected to be a focal point of the company’s business. Slovnaft is, by no means, limited to the fuel supply operations. The company’s objective is to establish sustainable partnerships with wholesale customers including, primarily, those with a vision of development together with Slovnaft and those that are ready to penetrate the market and develop business potential with Slovnaft. This approach will ensure both parties to be a step ahead of the competition.
